Born in 1983, Zahra Jewanjee originates from Pakistan. Even during her childhood, she loved painting and sketching. Thus, her passion for paint induced her desire to study at the National College of Arts, Pakistan, graduating from the institution with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She would not give up and decided to continue her education in the USA, having graduated from the reputed Rhode Island School of Design and received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting.
Undoubtedly, life in Pakistan was very different from the one to which she had gotten used to in the USA. It was the past of the country rather than its life that attracted her. Therefore, her paintings generally depict her experiences and feelings about the past of the country that she chose as her place of living.
